These days, Kevin Wheeler, who grew up in the mountains of Virginia and later received his degree at Lamont in experimental petrology, finds himself a long way from home.

Dear Alumni and Friends of Lamont,

Let me begin by introducing you to the newest members of the alumni board: geochemists Robert Kay (PhD ’70) and Louisa Bradtmiller (PhD ’08). A warm welcome to you both.

Brenda Ekwurzel wrote her PhD thesis on Arctic Ocean isotope geochemistry. As a postdoc at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, she conducted noble gas hydrology research.

The Observatory draws its strength from the dedicated people who have worked and studied here over the past 60 years, and the Alumni Association srtives to connect these "Lamonters" to one another - and to Lamont Doherty - long after they leave. In this section, we will provide updates on alumni events and alumni news.
