Safety

Responsible for all Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory (LDEO) safety and environmental protection programs, which includes the management of hazardous chemicals and lawful disposal of waste.

Security

Responsible for LDEO security matters, including oversight of security guards, parking, visitor access, and emergency operations. Oversees installation of LDEO locking systems and other security technology.

Communications

Responsible for LDEO communications, which includes maintainence and upgrades of campus telephone network, satellite and radio communications.

Property

Oversees Custodial Services (housekeeping) on campus.  Coordinates with the University Risk Management Office to acquire insurance  and resolves claims.  Investigates all property losses. maintains records for disposition of government and University owned equipment.
